Meet Mary

Mary Wineberg, Olympic Gold Medalist/Author/Speaker/Educator /Enthusiast Winning an Olympic gold medal in Beijing, China with the 2008 U.S. Women’s Track and Field team in the 4 x 400-meter relay was the culmination of years of extraordinary challenges, dedication and accomplishments for Mary Wineberg. That triumph opened the way for her new calling as a passionate champion in education, advocacy, personal motivation and leadership development. Her story of overcoming tremendous hardships and long odds early in life to reach the pinnacle in her sport serves as an inspiration to many. She allows individuals to see that they can reach their potential and secure their gold. She has connected with thousands through her public speaking, community engagements, and ability to relate with her audience. Mary is active in her community, serves on several boards and organizations, loves her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and is a member in a women’s service group called, the The Links, Incorporated. She is able to serve in her community and be an advocate for those in need. Mary taught 2nd grade for over 10 years, enjoyed the profession of an educator, and when she left the field, she knew she would stay involved. Mary has always been passionate about youth and wanting them to find their potential and soar to be their best! She has published two books, one an autobiography called “Unwavering Perseverance an Olympic Gold Medalist Finds Peace”, and her recent children’s book “I Didn’t Win.” Mary resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and two daughters. She hopes to leave you inspired and to know that no matter what, you can Overcome Challenges and Secure Your Gold!
